Tribology is the science of friction, wear and lubrication for bodies which are moved in relation to each other, while technology describes the science of converting raw materials and intermediate components into finished products and consumer goods through the application of scientific and technical knowledge.

U is the first letter of the German word “und” – the translation of the word “and”.
